Road Closures & Parking Restrictions
To accommodate the Schuylkill County America250 Parade, several streets in the City of Pottsville will be closed to traffic and parking on Saturday, June 27, 2026.
Closure Times
Parking Restrictions Begin: 8:30 AM
Road Closures: Approximately 8:30 AM – 2:00 PM
Streets Affected
West End Avenue – 18th Street to Westwood Road
18th Street – W. Market Street to West End Avenue
W. Market Street – 19th Street to N. Center Street
2nd Street – W. Market Street to Mahantongo Street
Mahantongo Street – 2nd Street to S. Center Street
S. Center Street – Howard Avenue to Harrison Street
Important Parking Notice
“No Parking” signs will be posted along the parade route in advance of the event. Any vehicles remaining in posted no-parking areas after 8:30 AM on Saturday, June 27, 2026, will be towed at the owner’s expense.
We encourage all residents and visitors to plan ahead, use alternate routes, and allow extra travel time. Thank you for your cooperation as we celebrate America’s 250th anniversary in Schuylkill County!

Kick off Schuylkill County’s America250 Celebration with an evening of food, fun, and fireworks on Friday, June 26, 2026!
Fireworks Kickoff Picnic | 6:30 PM – Fireworks End
Join us at the Capitol Parking Garage in Downtown Pottsville for a festive All-American picnic and one of the best views of the City of Pottsville fireworks display.

Premium viewing location for the fireworks
All-American picnic featuring hamburgers, hot dogs, and salads

A fun and patriotic atmosphere to celebrate the start of America250 weekend

Tickets are limited and must be purchased in advance. We encourage guests to secure their tickets early, as availability is limited and this event is expected to sell out.

The Schuylkill County 250th Celebration Parade Committee invites all 67 municipalities, along with school districts, fire companies, businesses, nonprofit organizations, and civic groups, to take part in this historic event. Each town, organization, and group is encouraged to create a float and be part of this once-in-a-generation celebration!

Interested in becoming a vendor at the America250PA Celebration event? Please complete the attached vendor application form and submit it to pottsvillepadco@gmail.com.
Vendor spaces are 10x10 and pricing is as follows:
• Craft Vendors: $50 per spot
• Food & Beverage Vendors: $100 per spot
We encourage vendors to apply early, as space is limited and applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
